Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established financial services and insurance organisation based in Dublin.

They are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to work as a daily rate contractor as part of the wider development team . This is a hands-on role focused on developing and enhancing automation frameworks, contributing to test strategy, and helping deliver high-quality software through automated testing and CI/CD.

Your role will involve working closely with software engineers and delivery teams, with the opportunity to influence testing practices and drive continuous improvement across the development lifecycle.

Key Skills & Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in software development with a strong skillset in test.
• Be proficient in at least two programming languages
• Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Serenity and/or Rest Assured.
• Strong API, UI, functional, integration and regression testing experience.
• Experience with BDD, Gherkin, JUnit and Maven.
• Proven experience working in CI/CD and Agile environments.
• Strong understanding of test strategy, software quality and continuous improvement.
